It is currently not the ones with the best business model that will survive, but the ones that manage to secure sufficient liquidity.

Our managing partner Georgiy Michailov in a remote-interview with Division One: What should companies and their managers focus in times of crisis? Clear recommendations on the topic of "securing liquidity".

Successful through
the corona crisis:

I.
Existential needs for action

  • Installation of a powerful "Corona-Taskforce" consisting of cross-functional service providers
  • Establishment of a liquidity office for an “overwintering phase".
  • Ensure comprehensive and effective 360-degree stakeholder management

> Specific To-do’s

How strongly is your company affected by the economic impact of the current pandemic? What urgent action is needed to maintain the company's performance and liquidity in the short term?

By setting up a digital "operations centre" ( preferably web- or cloud-based) that controls all relevant issues and with a simple, uniform "COVID-19-Radar" as an evaluation and monitoring tool, these issues can be answered quickly and an appropriate risk assessment carried out.

We have created an "Emergency Mode in Practice" template for you, in which we have already defined the most important projects and tasks - based on our experience in crisis situations - in the short term, in order to make it easier for you to set up the "Survival in the COVID-19 phase" project.

We are making the SMP project management tool "ProChange" available to the first 30 interested companies here for free during the COVID-19 crisis phase. Our experts will be pleased to support you actively in setting up the project as well as in further measures.

State support for companies and employees

The Federal Ministry of Finance and the Federal Ministry of Economics have agreed on a range of measures to protect companies and employees. In particular, companies are to be provided with sufficient liquidity to bridge the effects of the corona crisis. The announced state support is based on five key measures:

  • Flexibilization of short-time work compensation
  • Tax relief to ensure liquidity
  • Expansion of existing liquidity support programmes
  • Strengthening European cohesion
  • Suspension of the obligation to file for insolvency
